I have an older version that I've had for years and it finally broke bought this and tried to use it and when I push down on the top of the container, the unit would not work unless I tapped it or pushed it really hard contacted the manufacturer. They're sending me out a new blade to see if that fixes it. I don't think it will.

Don't get me wrong, I am happy with this product. I love it for single serving smoothies. But it's just not very good for making any of the other things they claim it should be able to do: hummus, pico, dicing onions. The product isn't really able to do much beyond blending things completely. Also, it has never been able to chip/crush ice for me. It makes a horrible sound and the ice cubes just tend to bounce around in the blending cup without anything actually happening to them, which has been the one thing I've found to be fairly disappointing.

I wanted one of these to prepare food for my baby. It works great for that. The only thing I was disappointed with was there should be another small cup to puree in. Otherwise it's great. I love making blizzards for my husband. It really works great for steaming small amounts of veggies but if it gets too hot and not enough liquid you can burn/melt the plastic. I would also put it on a plate as when it steams in the microwave the water you add runs all over. The other thing is you must wait quit some time after microwaving for food to cool before putting on the blade otherwise the seal falls out and you have water running everywhere. The one thing I could not find was if the items were BPA free so I do not steam veggies in there anymore. Great for bread crumbs!

I bought the Magic Bullet in early May 2014. It came with two blades and within two months both blades were broke. The soft rubber piece that connects to the base wears down and no longer makes the connection to move the blades. I would not recommend this product and will not buy another Magic Bullet. For $50 I expected much more quality.

I had a magic bullet several years ago and used it daily, no problem. I just ordered a new one and it won't blend my frozen smoothie mixes. I don't know if the frozen stuff is too difficult to blend, I am adding plenty of liquid. I ended up throwing away my nutribullet last year because it leaked terribly and was more trouble than it's worth. Huge David Wolfe fan bit afraid this endorsement was misleading.

After I read some of the reviews on here, I was skeptical about buying this product. I have seen the infomercials over and over and also my wife wanted it. After looking at it in the store, I realized that it wasn't the same one as on TV. I bought it anyway and my wife has been happy ever since. She makes all kinds of concoctions with it and the kids LOVE the smoothies she makes. All in all, I think it was a great but. No, it's not the one as seen on TV, but if you would have taken a couple extra minutes to read the box, you would have figured that out.

bought this last week and the fist smoothie I made was perfectly blended. but ever since every time I make a smoothie the machine shuts off when it thinks its done and doesn't let me blend anymore and even if I take the plug out and put it back in it doesn't work. also when it blends for a few mins the machine gives off a smell.

This product was a great disappointment. I was very excited about this product since I had seen it on TV. However, when I started to use it, I realized it only worked on little jobs. It worked to make sauces, smoothies, and easier ttasks. However, when it came to jobs that actually required a little effort from the blade, this product was a failure. I would definitely not recommend this to anyone!

After buying, Magic Bullet I used occasionally only to wet grind coconut or some spices as I had another grinder. Magic bullet really grinds smooth to satisfaction. However, soon after I started using it often, a small plastic chip came off from the top portion of the motor where we push in the jar and the entire set has become dysfunctional. One of my friends stated she faced similar problem.

I got this for my B-day. I couldn't wait to try it out....well I have tried it out several times with the same problem. Every smoothy came out with chunks of ice or frozen fruit. I had to make it really runny and run it a long time to make the smoothy smooth enough. It was more frustrating then fun. I even read the directions and did every trick they talked about without luck. Blended drinks without ice worked fine.
